I still have now idea how the judges scored this fight for Galvao. Luke had a series of successful (and really pretty!) Guard, Half-Guard, and side control sweeps that Galvao had no answer for. He either couldn’t stop them or never saw them coming.
I’m willing to admit I’m a little biased, but 30-27 Galvao is a bit much.

This fight is only up until Sunday (February 6th) so I suggest you catch it while you can.
It’s really the 3rd round that is the most dramatic. There is an excellent camera angle at the end of the third where Riggs is just leaking blood onto his own pectorals, trying desperately for a Kimura. There is a sense of urgency on his face that is indescribable. Go watch it.
